Yes. Our locators are Dial Before You Dig (DBYD) accredited and certified, and we work to industry standards for service location and identification.

No - treat it as zero. We've found a live water line 50mm under the surface, and fibre optic cables all but exposed - and repairing a damaged fibre run can cost well over $100,000. Assets are supposed to be buried to standard depths with marker tape and barriers, but decades of real-world construction mean you can't count on it. If you're breaking ground at any depth, get it located first.

For smaller jobs - fence posts, a stormwater downpipe, house plans - we can usually be there the same day, worked in around the crews already operating near you. For planned works, a couple of days notice lets us schedule the right locating ute and the right sized vacuum truck for the job.

They're confidence levels from AS 5488, Australia's standard for subsurface utility information. Quality Level B is electronic location - tracing services with electromagnetic wands and ground-penetrating radar. Quality Level A is the highest level: physically sighting the asset, usually by hydro excavation potholing. We deliver both in-house, and for excavation near existing assets, Quality Level A at the dig points is the safest footing there is.

You send us an address, and plans if you have them. We pull the Before You Dig Australia plans for the site, then schedule the right crew and truck. On site we electronically locate and mark every service, pothole the critical points where you need to physically sight the asset, and backfill when we're done - leaving measured markers in the ground where they help. You get a clear record with depths, annotations and photos, ready to hand to your engineer, surveyor or asset owner.

Cable and pipe location finds and marks the position and depth of underground services from the surface. Hydro excavation then safely exposes those services using high-pressure water and vacuum, so you can physically see the asset without risk of striking it.

Yes - that's the point of it. Non-destructive vacuum excavation removes soil without the cutting force of a mechanical bucket, so it's the safest way to dig around live power, gas, water and comms.

We mark located services on site with clear paint lines and depth measurements, and can provide a written record of what was found and where for your project documentation.
